The Skipper

Ian Buchlele – a skipper with a wealth of experience will look after you on the Emerald BayPeace of mind on the ocean waves with our highly qualified professional skipper

The Emerald Bay is expertly skippered by Ian Buchele.

Ian is a highly qualified skipper (see cv). Last November he successfully delivered the winning yacht of The Transat Jacque Varbe race from the UK to Brazil in a 3 week passage. When Ian is not working for Legend Cruises, much of his time is spent delivery yachts to people in destinations around the world.

Our other skipper is John Haskins who is another highly competent sailor with an Ocean Yacht Masters Certificate with commercial endorsement. He has 10 years sailing experience in the Solent and has also sailed the Atlantic, Caribbean, Mediterranean and Pacific.
